In the course Languages and Cultures in Comparison French students will perfect their language skills and cultural knowledge to achieve C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

In addition to linguistic aspects (grammar, vocabulary, style, etc.), the focus is on oral and written communication about current topics from the fields of society, literature, politics, and more in Francophone countries. Interesting connections and comparisons to German-speaking countries will also be made.

In order to participate in the course, students must have successfully completed the compulsory module 4 or 7.

For organizational reasons attendance in the first class is mandatory.

Before full completion of STEOP, courses may only be brought forward up to a maximum of 22 ECTS-AP.
