This course provides the participants with all general guidelines for successfully handling presentations as well as language or culture-specific aspects of presenting in English. It provides clear guidelines for the structural and rhetorical layout of presentations, effective handling of PowerPoint, authentic non-verbal communication and efficient preparation of performances. The combination of general presentation techniques in an English-speaking seminar provides an ideal basis for presentations in native or foreign languages. To make the seminar as practice-oriented as possible, participants are encouraged to prepare a 10-15 minute presentation in their field of expertise.

Composition and structure of a presentation, Rhetorical patterns, Interaction with PowerPoint, Design tips for PowerPoint, Body language and positioning - Analysis of a short presentation

Trainer input, impromptu exercises, authentic examples, authentic presentation in the field of expertise (10-15 min.) and detailed analysis thereof.
