Compulsory Module 1: Theoretical Principles of Vocational Guidance & Orientation (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 5 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates
- are able to assess the importance of career choice for successful identity formation of the pupils;
- have the skills to characterize occupational fields and occupations;
- have the knowledge with regards to qualifications and chances in relation to training possibilities;
- are able to present and explain different educational offers and paths and related requirements and possibilities for the choice of occupation;
- are able to encourage pupils to reflect on their gender-specific socialization and its effect on the choice of profession and life planning and to support them in doing so;
- have a fundamental knowledge of Gender and Diversity and know the most important information centres.
Compulsory Module 2: Experiences in the World of Work & Transition (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates
- know the specific education systems of Austria and the different training possibilities;
- know about the legal framework for real-life-encounters in the context of Schools;
- are able to teach the contents to the pupils in a way that is close to actual reality;
- know about cooperations with businesses for business inspections;
- know help institutions and possibilities for youths, who are difficult to place;
- are able to didactically prepare and present the contents of the module in class as befits the Situation;
- are in particular able to supervise application and transition processes and have a basic understanding for strategies of mentoring of development processes.
Compulsory Module 3: Project Managing & Counselling (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates
- have a fundamental knowledge of project management and their documentation and Evaluation;
- have a command of the basic techniques of conversation, team work and counselling;
- know many concpets and methods for planning and implementing tasks and Projects.
Compulsory Module 4: Internship (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 2.5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: approval of the internship by the director of the study programme
Learning Outcome: Graduates
- pass a 40 hour-internship in a business to gain first insights into and experiences of the world of work;
- reflect on their internship;
- write a report about their internship and present their findings;
- discuss their experiences of the different tasks and compare them;
- can present impressions of the world of work, which are close to reality, to the pupils.
- know the legal framework of real-life Encounters;
- are able to organize, coordinate days of practical work experience and reflect on them with the pupils afterwards.
A confirmation of the respective business on the duration, scope and contents of the internship must be presented.
Compulsory Module 5: Psychology 1 - Learning (5 ECTS-Credits; 2.5 h)

- know about the influence of social gender on psychosocial processes;
- recognise disadvantages in relation to gender ratios;
- recognise various social attitudes and biographic decisions, which are influenced by gender stereotypes;
- have a basic knowledge of learning psychology;
- are able to improve the pupils' motivation for Performance;
- know possibilities and models for dealing with behaviour-creative youths as befits the Situation;
- are able to present specific knowledge correctly and in an understandable way for teaching;
- are able to develop and implement simple learning techniques and strategies.
Compulsory Module 6: Psychology 2 - Life Skills & Crisis Management (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates
- are enabled to teach pupils to understand different life situations, to inform them on minorities and marginal groups in an extensive fashion and to discuss important questions of life;
- know methods of conflict Resolution;
- are acquainted with conflict situation at school as well as with their Resolution;
- know prejudices and discriminations and are able to communicate an increased awaresness for tolerance;
- have a basic understanding for life skills and crises and know ways of prevention.
Compulsory Module 7: Priniciples of Vocational Training (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 4.5 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates
- are familiar with current themes in school development;
- know about the conditions at particular schools;
- work with portfolios and support pupils in observing, assessing, diagnosing and developing their skills;
- know about current finding in teaching development;
- have a command of media technology in the context of schools;
- are able to use media properly for teaching.
Compulsory Module 8: Competence Orientation & Vocational Guidance (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 5.5 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates
- get an understanding of different diversity dimensions;
- have the skills to apply this knowledge for dealing with actual subject-didactic questions;
- get insights in possibilities to find possibilities for competence-oriented career guidance classes and develop different concepts for integrative career guidance teaching;
- are able to make pupils aware of their individual talents and interests and to support them in finding options with regards to their imminent occupational choice;
- support suitable fields or strength profiles resp. for physical, mental and social potentials;
- work with portfolios and support their pupils in observing, assessing, diagnosing and eveloping their skills.
Compulsory Module 9: Personality Training/Personal Competences (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h)

- know topic, processes and targets of communication and are able to critically reflect on them;
- know and have a command of basic rhetoric elements, non-violent communication and mediation;
- know about cognitive dissonances and are able to describe strategies for avoiding them;
- know the basics of stereotyping and the formation of prejudices and are able to critically reflect on them;
- learn how to deal with feedback and are open to dialogue and are able to apply these abilities as befits the Situation;
- know how to deal with disturbances during a speech/presentation;
- are able to adequately use role plays in class;
- are able to use different moderation materials;
- know different creative and moderation techniques and are able to use them in a purposeful way.
Compulsory Module 12: Personality Training/Classroom & School Development - Teambuilding (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h)

- know classroom and school development in theory and reality;
- get an in-depth insight into the education deduce measures for promoting quality development at schools based on existing empirical research;
- know the most importantaspects of team work in the context of schools.
Compulsory Module 13: Social Management - Internship (5 ECTS-Credits; 0.5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: approval of the internship in the field of social work by the director of the study programme
Learning Outcome: Graduates
- plan, pass and evaluate an internship in a social institution;
- pass an internship of 40h/week in a social institution to gain first insights into the field;
- write a report on their internship and present their findings;
- discuss and compare their experiences in the different fields;
- identify with the requirements on social competence of the internship;
- name and gain their own learning targets;
Compulsory Module 14: Personality Training/Intercultural Competence (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h)

- know aspects of multi-dimensional intercultural communication;
- know the causes of specific intercultural communication situations;
- know about important effects of interculturality on everyday life at School;

- know teaching models for implementing cooperation in everyday life at school.
Compulsory Module 15: Subject Related Practical Course and Supervision (5 ECTS-Credits; 1 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory modules 1 to 8
Learning Outcome: Absolventinnen und Absolventen
- are able to prepare selected contents for Career Guidance and Life Skills for teaching and to teach them as befits the situaton;
- implement subject-specific didactical concepts and reflect on their practical training course.
Compulsory Module 16: Personality Training/Peer Group Education (10 ECTS-Credits; 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates
- know models of peergroup education;
- know about pedagogical consequences of using peer learning;
- know the approach of self-efficacy and are able to apply it for their pupils by using appropriate teaching elements;
- have learned about the fields of application of reality-orientated teaching and participative teaching;
- are able to design handing on and accepting of responsibility in helper systems in class, across classes and outside of class;
- have a command of the instruments and the required knowledge for anchoring the buddy principle at a school long-term;
- are able to teach the contents of the module in class with the help of subject-specific didactics as befits the situation.
Compulsory Module 17: Bachelor's Thesis (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates are able to deal with a field of Career Guidance or Life Skills with a clear link to school teaching in a methodologically correct fashion and are able to present the results in writing as well as verbally in an understandable way.
